- The purpose of this LDSI is to expand crosswalks, non-motorized trail, and sidewalk system as well as to repair the existing system within the Village of Brooklyn. This aligns with the Brooklyn Master Plan, as well as the Village's function as a gathering place for people in many of the surrounding communities. It will increase walkability, and therefore economic development in the Village's downtown, which will benefit the State of Michigan by providing another attractive destination for future residents to settle in.
