This transformational project will positively impact the City of Detroit, the Southeast Michigan region, and the entire state through the elimination of blight, the creation of a major tourist destination, and significant arts and education initiatives. The purpose of this project is to develop a new Parade Studio that not only houses the creativity and production behind everything The Parade Company does, but also creates meaningful and lasting opportunities for the community. The new facility will serve as the Parade Company’s permanent home and host the largest summer camp for children each year, along with internships and other educational programming. It will include a dedicated Veterans Office, providing space for veterans to access services daily and host several large events annually. The building will also function as a major event center and tour destination, attracting visitors from across Michigan and the country while serving as a significant driver of job creation and economic activity. This project will eliminate long-standing blight along Jefferson Avenue, revitalizing the surrounding neighborhood and responding directly to community hopes for timely redevelopment. We envision a new home that partners with the Detroit community in a way that sets the gold standard for opportunity, inclusion, sustainability, creativity, education, and civic pride.
