This state-of-the-art, 40,000 square-foot facility will serve as the primary hub for training over 600 students annually in high-demand skilled trades, including bricklaying, tile setting, terrazzo work, and more. This program addresses Michigan’s severe skilled labor shortage while offering students debt-free education, paid apprenticeships, and access to vital community college support services. This initiative is designed to drive workforce development and economic growth in southeast and central Michigan. It provides direct pathways for high school students and adults into sustainable careers, with starting wages at $40/hour plus benefits. In addition to bolstering Michigan’s construction industry, the program contributes to the Governor’s 60 by 30 goal, helping more residents attain industry-recognized credentials or degrees.
