Since 2020, the DSO’s Detroit Strategy has broadened access to music education for children living in the City of Detroit, working collaboratively with the larger arts community in Southeast Michigan. In partnership with the DSO, Detroit Harmony is a systems-change initiative focused on bringing opportunities to youth, teachers, schools, and community programs. The initiative is dedicated to inclusive creative youth development and building a sense of belonging. It shapes a future where all children can make music, engage in artistic experiences, and create in meaningful ways.
