- The Center for Civil Justice is committed to ensuring that low-income individuals and families can access the basic resources necessary to survive and thrive. Too often, systemic barriers prevent people from obtaining essential benefits, stable housing, and healthcare—leaving them without meaningful recourse. CCJ responds on multiple fronts. We provide MDHHS navigator assistance to help individuals secure critical benefits while pursuing strategic litigation to challenge unlawful practices and drive systemic change. At the same time, we advocate for equitable state and federal policies that remove barriers and expand access to housing and healthcare. This work is urgent. As policies shift and safety nets strain, vulnerable communities face an increased risk of losing access to essential supports. Through legal advocacy, policy reform, and community partnership, CCJ is working to ensure that equity is not just an ideal but a reality.
